一、非遗传承人介绍Introduction of the inherit or of the int angible cul tural heritage
王祥云Xiangyun Wang:
1、现任鸟虫篆艺术研究院院长,原文化部艺术发展中心全国美术考级委员会委员。
Current dean of NiaoChongZhuan (a sort of seal character) Art Institute.Former member of the National Art Examination Committee of the Culture and Art Development Center.
2、1950年出生,六岁随父习字,1964年开始学习鸟虫篆,1966年得到中山大学教授容庚先生指教,开始传承鸟虫篆。80年代后,形成融先秦13个诸侯国鸟虫篆为一体的书法风格。
Born in 1950, Wang learned calligraphy from his father at the age of six. Eight years later,with Some basic mastery of Chinese characters,he started the journey of studying NiaoChongZhuan. In 1966, Wang got a valuable chance to be the disciple of Professor RONG geng from Sun-Yat-Sen University and began to inherit this specific ancient Chinese calligraphy. After the 1980s,he has developed his own calligraphy style of NiaoChongZhuan, which is a Combination of 13 different types from the 13 states of the pre-Qin period.
3、2011年出版发行《鸟虫篆发凡》专著,在全国首次对鸟虫篆的起源、延续、释读、笔法、结构、章法及鸟虫篆的艺术价值进行全面阐释,对鸟虫篆的艺术表达方式和文化内涵进行初步的介绍。
In 2011, Wang published a monograph on NiaoChongZhuan,which pioneered to a Comprehensive explanation nationwide on the origin,development, interpretation, technique of calligraphy, structure, modus of seal, and the artistic value of this ancient calligraphy.Thanks to his publication,people are capable to have Some preliminary understanding on its artistic expression as well as the Cultural Connotation it bears.
4、先后在上海、广州、济南、郑州、济宁举办大型鸟虫篆书法展暨鸟虫篆艺术论坛,在中国社会科学院研究生院等大专院校讲授鸟虫篆艺术,受到社会各届的欢迎和高度评价。
The master of calligraphy has held great exhibitions as well as art forums on NiaoChongZhuan in Shanghai, Guangzhou,Jinan, Zhengzhou and Jining. He has also been invited to give lectures on the art of NiaoChongZhuan in Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and other universities and Colleges. Both of his exhibitions and lectures are strongly welcomed and highly thought of by all walks of life.

Introduction of intangible cultural heritage
鸟虫篆是中国古文字艺术,起源于商周时期,是由图腾文、甲骨文、金文演变而来的一种特殊文字艺术。是与甲骨文同时代的一种文字,甲骨文是用来记述历史事件的,鸟虫篆是一种书法艺术,是王朝皇族专用的文字。它从商代开始,是秦代八种官方使用文字,汉代六种官方使用文字之一。魏晋以后,篆书不在使用,留在宫廷中使用,-直到清朝咸丰皇帝。随着清政府的败落,清宫廷也不再使用,几近消失了。它从原始符号刻划中生根,从商鼎周彝图腾中走出,从夏商甲骨中脱变,演绎为青铜时代的辉煌,秦汉时期的时尚,经过唐宋元明清的淬化,成为中国历史文化的标识之一。
NiaoChongZhuan is a kind of ancient Chinese character and its history can be dated back to the Shang and Zhou Period.As a calligraphy art, it derives and evolves from totem, oracle bone inscriptions as well as Jin wen (inscriptions on ancient bronze objects). Oracle bone inscriptions and NiaoChongZhuan were products of the same era: the tormer was used to record the historical events; while the latter was exclusively employed by the royal family. Since the Shang Dynasty, NiaoChongZhuan had been officially acknowledged as one of the official scripts. In Qin Dynasty, it was one of the eight official calligraphies; in Han Dynasty, it was one of the six. However, after Wei-jin periods, the seal Script was not Widely Used anymore, but it still maintained its status in the imperial COurt till the Xianfeng Emperor of the Qing Dynasty. With the declination of the Qing government, NiaoChongZhuan was abandoned by the royalty and generally disappeared from the public. Rooted in the original symbol of the ancient SOciety, NiaoChongZhuan grew from the totem of the Shang and Zhou Period, transformed from the oracle bone inscriptions of the Xia Dynasty, and peaked at the Bronze Age. It became popular with the society in Qin and Han periods. Then after a series of continuous evolution from Tang to Qing Dynasty, NiaoChongZhuan became one of the shining stars in Chinese history and culture.
